Nach weiteren drei Tagen in Kampala mit Besuch des Bahai Tempels, des Lubiri-Palastes (endlich), neuer ma\u00dfgeschneideter Jacke und einem versuchten Handtaschendiebstahl habe ich beschlossen, 140 $ auf den Kopf zu hauen und raften zu gehen. Dazu wurde ich morgens im Hostel abgeholt, bei der Ankunft in Bujagali gabs ein schnelles Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck bei Nile River Explorers, der Rafting Company. Da der Verkehr in Kampala zumeist ziemlich irre ist, waren wir sp\u00e4t dran, so dass ich also noch w\u00e4hrend des ersten Briefings mit meiner Rolex da sa\u00df (nein, ich bin \u00fcber Nacht nicht reich geworden, das ist was zu essen).. Helm und Rettungsweste ergattert und los geht&#8217;s. Ach ja, und an der Einstiegsstelle angekommen noch ein Paddel unter den Arm geklemmt, Schuhe aus, Leute auf zwei Rafts verteilt, alle lebensrettenden Kajaker ins Wasser, noch ein paar Witze von den Guides und dann gings wirklich los. Wer von euch M\u00e4dels oder auch Jungs \u00fcbrigens mal krass trainierte M\u00e4nnerk\u00f6rper angucken will, ist beim Rafting genau richtig.. allerdings hat Frau oder Mann dazu auch nicht unbedingt so viel Zeit, \u00fcberleben will man das ganze ja auch.. Mein Guide No. 1 (ich wurde nach dem Mittagessen ins andere Boot &#8222;promotet), Juma, hat sich mit Instruktionen eher zur\u00fcck gehalten.. die meisten w\u00fcrden sich das ja eh alles nicht merken oder wenn doch, dann die ganze Zeit darauf achten, alles richtig zu machen (was eher nicht klappt)..das hie\u00df also: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Jede*r paddelt wie er\/sie will. Nur vorw\u00e4rts und r\u00fcckw\u00e4rts sollte man drauf haben (wurde auch kurz ge\u00fcbt, auch wer links und wer rechts im Boot sitzt).<\/li><li>Geht man \u00fcber Bord, kommt man schon wieder ins Boot, irgendwie, auch hier macht das jede*r wie er\/sie will. Auch das wurde ge\u00fcbt.<\/li><li>Landet man im Wasser, gibt es Instruktionen, ob das Wasser flach ist oder nicht (wenn ja, soll man sich lieber den Popo an den Felsen aufschrubbeln, nicht die Knie oder Schienbeine..).<\/li><li>Wenn das Boot flippt, soll man die Stelle ertasten, an der ein Hohlraum zwischen Wasser und Boot ist und dann unter dem Boot hervor kommen (so \u00e4hnlich). Und dabei die Luft anhalten und m\u00f6glichst nicht ertrinken.. Hat geklappt..<\/li><li>Er will keine Anrufe von w\u00fctenden Muttis, weil T\u00f6chterchen oder S\u00f6hnchen die Regeln nicht verstanden hat.. ah ja..ich hab kann man sein Portmonee auch noch auf andere, vielf\u00e4ltige Art und Weise leeren (sie nennen das hier &#8222;they (die Wei\u00dfen) empty their wallets in Africa&#8220;).. Kayaking, Tubing, Bungee Jumping, etc.. Ich hab es vorgezogen, ein Buch zu lesen, mit den locals im village zu plaudern, mit ihnen zu essen und ein paar Bierchen zu trinken, die Affen bei ihren Spielchen zu beobachten, Sonnenuntergang zu gucken und einen auf Tarzan zu machen. Zwei Mal umgezogen bin ich auch, von Nile River Explorer Camp ins Nile River Camp (3 Minuten  entfernt und angeblich ruhiger, naja, aber mit Pool) und dann in das Haus eines Freundes mit Ausblick auf den Nil, zum Nichtstun. Ah ja, die Source of the Nile habe ich auch bewundert (unspektakul\u00e4r) und das, obwohl ich irgendwie kaum Kohle dabei hatte.. Montag Nachmittag ging es dann in irgendein Dorf, der Freund von dem Freund hatte ein Familientreffen. Das war zwar nur kurz, aber es war super da. Die Menschen sind sowas von nett und herzlich und nehmen einen auf, als w\u00e4re man selbst Mitglied der Familie oder Community. Ein Teil der Kultur dort ist es, dass M\u00e4dchen und Frauen sich vor Besucher etc. hinknien, um ihren Respekt auszudr\u00fccken.. schade, dass die Jungs mir das erst gesagt haben, nachdem ein M\u00e4dchen vor uns auf die Knie gegangen ist und ich (vermutlich) total d\u00e4mlich aus der W\u00e4sche geguckt habe. Witzig wurde es dann, als eine Frau mit Baby auf dem Arm vor mir stand\/kniete, um u.a. mich zu begr\u00fc\u00dfen und das Baby dann erstmal gepieselt hat&#8230; happens.. Nach dem mega leckerem Essen habe ich dann 20 Minuten daran gearbeitet, ein kleines M\u00e4dchen (Rashida) davon zu \u00fcberzeugen, dass ich kein Alien o.\u00e4. bin und ihre Freundin sein will. Hat geklappt, irgendwann hat sie nicht mehr nach ihrer Mama geschrien, wenn ich einen Schritt in ihre Richtung gemacht habe.. ggf. hat es geholfen, dass ich ihr meine Wasserflasche &#8222;\u00fcbermittelt&#8220; habe.
