Mein Camp (Nshongi Camp, 8 USD im dorm), war nur etwa 5 Minuten Fussweg vom Gate entfernt. Nachdem ich dort am Montag nach einem 1,5 Stunden boda boda ride mit Elias angekommen bin (sehr gequetscht und mit steifen Knien), hab ich auch da festgestellt, dass ich mal wieder der einzige Gast bin. Schr\u00e4g, aber die anderen Leute zahlen eben lieber 140 USD die Nacht..oder auch 200.. nach oben gibt es keine Grenzen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/whoknowstheworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/P1000455-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-231\" srcset=\"https:\/\/whoknowstheworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/P1000455-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/whoknowstheworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/P1000455-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/whoknowstheworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/P1000455-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/whoknowstheworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/P1000455-120x90.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>Gloria, die im Camp arbeitet, hat mich morgens um halb 8 zum Gate gebracht und mir vorher ganz genau verklickert, was ich mitnehmen soll: Lange Hose, langes Oberteil, Regenjacke, Socken (Hose reinstecken wegen der Safari-Ants), Trekkingschuhe, min. 2l Wasser, was zu essen und einen Walkingstick (sehr hilfreich das Ding mit geschnitzten Gorilla drauf).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Vor dem Gate habe ich dann alles erstes so&#8217;n policemen getroffen, auf den komme ich sp\u00e4ter nochmal zu sprechen. Vertrauen und so..er sollte sp\u00e4ter zu mir sagen: &#8222;trust me as u have never trusted an african man&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nach einem Briefing durch Miel (wenn man den Namen vergisst, dann soll man ihn einfach Honey nennen..haha), wurden die Touris ihren Gorilla-Gruppen zugeordnet. Die werden wohl je nach Verhandlungssgeschick der Fahrer bzw. in meinem Fall von Gloria zugeordnet. Ich bin in die Nshongi-Gruppe gekommen, passend zu meinem Camp.  Das hie\u00df, dass ich direkt in Rushaga, dem Dorf dort, losgehen konnte und nicht erstmal irgendwohin  fahren musste. Ca. 8:30 hatten sich alle sortiert und es ging los, drei bzw. f\u00fcnf Personen aus meiner Gruppe hatten einen sogenannten Porter. Die tragen die Rucks\u00e4cke, ziehen die Leute den Berg hoch oder tragen sie gleich.. und das alles f\u00fcr 15 USD (Minimum). Es gibt dort \u00fcber 200 Porter, das hei\u00dft, dass jede*r so einmal im Monat dran kommt. F\u00fcr die ist das echt viel Geld. F\u00fcr mich auch, ich bin nat\u00fcrlich  ohne einen ausgekommen. Ich hatte ja diesen Stick. Allerdings scheint mir das auch eine der wenigen M\u00f6glichkeiten zu sein, die local community zu unterst\u00fctzen. Und nat\u00fcrlich  auch dort zu essen, Wasser und Bier zu kaufen und nicht in der schickmicki Lodge. Es gin zun\u00e4chst durch das Dorf durch und dann direkt in den Wald, so eine gute Stunde lang, viel rauf und runter, es mussten kleine mini mini B\u00e4chlein \u00fcberquert werden und sich unter irgendwelchen Pflanzen hinweg geduckt werden, manch eine*r ist da schon mal h\u00e4ngen geblieben. Im Wald waren dann schon die Tracker, die Ausschau nach der Gorilla Gruppe gehalten haben und mit meine Guide (honey) kommuniziert haben. Ich glaube, dass die tracker da direkt im Wald schlafen, damit es am n\u00e4chsten Tag keine \u00dcberraschung  gibt, wenn die Gorillas sich am n\u00e4chsten Tag verdr\u00fcckt haben.. ich hab dann schon von weitem einen Gorilla im Baum f\u00fcttern gesehen, das war cool. Ein paar Meter weiter haben wir die Tracker getroffen und wir konnten unser Gep\u00e4ck und die walkingsticks liegen lassen und ihnen hinterher stiefeln. Mit Macheten wurde der Weg frei geschnitten. Wenn die Gorillas sich dann weiter bewegt haben, sind wir langsam hinterher. 7m Mindestabstand wurden dabei allerdings nicht immer eingehalten , das w\u00e4re angeblich manchmal wegen der Vegetation nicht m\u00f6glich .. stimmt auch irgendwie, zumindest wenn man den Touris den Blick erm\u00f6glichen will. Die Gorillas haben sich Null aus der Ruhe bringen lassen, allerdings ist der silverback der Gruppe schon mal etwas  lauter geworden. Und von hinten hat sich eine oder einer angeschlichen, weil sie\/er zu den anderen wollte.
